seed-1695030Calling all school and community gardeners! The Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company, who carries one of the largest selection of seeds from the 19th-century, is giving away a variety of packets of vegetable and flower seeds to nonprofit school and community groups. Check out this video for more information about the donations, especially if you are in need of large quantities of seeds to plant this season.

The Gettles family, who started Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, is committed to providing and educating people about a better, safer food supply – one that preserves our agricultural heritage. If you are interested in the seed donation contact Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds at Seeds@rareseeds.com.

Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company has locations in California and Connecticut with the main office in Mansfield, MO. There, in Missouri, the company also lets visitors tour their farm for free. But it is not just a farm, on your visit you can also see the garden museum and blacksmith shop, an old-time mercantile, a natural bakery, and more all in the beautiful Ozark hills.
